The Spanish legal market continued to flourish in 2024, underlining the sector’s resilience and growth despite challenging global economic conditions. Ahead of the official release of Iberian Lawyer’s annual ranking of Spain’s top 50 law firms, preliminary figures confirm that the country’s major players have strengthened their positions, benefiting from increased client demand, digital transformation, and complex advisory work.
Once again, Garrigues remains firmly established as Spain’s leading law firm, generating domestic revenues of €419.19 million in 2024 (+5.7% YoY), reflecting steady annual growth. At a global level, the firm’s revenues increased by €27.58 million (+6.1%) to a record €481.85 million.“2024 has been a good year for Garrigues. The trust of our clients and the good work of our team have enabled us to achieve a new all-time record in revenues. We have maintained solid and profitable growth, strengthened our teams and invested in areas that we consider strategic for our future, such as digital. The incorporation of the Mexican firm Sánchez Devanny (that is being integrated in 2025, ed.) consolidates our international expansion and makes us a firm of reference in the countries where we are present and, in particular, in Latin America,” said Fernando Vives, executive chairman of Garrigues, in the official press statement.
In second place, Cuatrecasas posted impressive double-digit growth, with revenues in Spain reaching €343.50 million (+10.9%). Globally, the firm increased its business volume to €436.1 million (+12.2% YoY). Rafael Fontana, Cuatrecasas’s senior partner, considers these results a clear indication of the firm’s successful strategy: “We have grown in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, and we have increased our presence in high-impact sectors such as international arbitration, real estate, private equity, infrastructure, and energy. This success did not come about by chance. It is the result of a clearly defined strategic plan, placing the client at the centre of the organisation and being committed to talent, innovation, and knowledge.”
Completing the podium is Uría Menéndez, whose revenue remained stable at approximately €231 million (+0.37%). The firm remains among the strongest performers in terms of estimated revenue per partner (€2.14 million). At international level the law firm recorded €295,48 million revenue, growing to €290,74 million recorded in 2023.
In total, the top three firms generated approximately €993.65 million in domestic revenue, representing around 27.3% of the total market share of Spain’s top 50 law firms, according to Iberian Lawyer’s preliminary estimates.

The ‘Big Four’
Immediately following the top three firms are the professional services giants—PwC, Deloitte, EY, and KPMG—which have solidified their presence among Spain’s elite law firms. Together, these “Big Four” firms generated approximately €790.79 million domestically, accounting for over 21% of the revenue among the top 50 firms, highlighting their successful integration of multidisciplinary practices.
Leading this group once again should be according to preliminary estimates by Iberian Lawyer and pending official confirmation, PwC Tax & Legal, recording an estimated €220.11 million domestically (+9.7% YoY). PwC also should stand out in profitability, with an estimated revenue per partner of €2.53 million—the highest among the top ten.
Meanwhile, Deloitte Legal achieved the highest growth rate in the market, surging by over 35% to €214.8 million domestically. This notable leap reflects a major global restructuring at Deloitte one year ago, including the integration of Business Process Solutions (BPS) into Deloitte Legal. Deloitte’s revenue per partner (€2.41 million) underscores its efficiency and strategic strength.
Close behind Deloitte, EY Abogados increased revenues by nearly 9% to reach €213.8 million. With strong performances across compliance, regulatory, and transactional advisory, EY maintains steady growth and a high revenue-per-partner ratio (€2.16 million).
Completing the “Big Four”, KPMG Abogados generated €174.7 million domestically, representing a robust 15.9% annual increase.
