Toda & Nel-lo opens a “China desk” with Wenbo Zhou
Toda & Nel-lo has announced the launch of its new China Desk, a dedicated practice aimed at advising Chinese companies investing in Spain. The initiative will be based out of the firm’s offices in Madrid and Barcelona and will provide legal counsel on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), regulatory matters, tax, and other key areas.
To lead this new initiative, the firm has appointed Wenbo Zhou, who joins from the Barcelona office of Andersen. Zhou, a specialist in advising Chinese companies operating in Spain, will head the new China Desk, which is set to become a strategic hub for cross-border transactions involving other European and Latin American jurisdictions.
Toda & Nel-lo will leverage its international alliances—including its ties with Legal Network International (LNI) and the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA)—to provide comprehensive coverage in over 110 jurisdictions worldwide.
Zhou brings extensive experience as a corporate lawyer, with a background in top-tier firms such as Dentons and Jausas (now Fieldfisher). He holds a law degree from the University of Salamanca and a dual master’s degree in legal practice and taxation from Centro de Estudios Garrigues. He will be supported by a multidisciplinary team with deep expertise in assisting foreign companies with legal matters in Spain.
