The IOC appoints Manuel Crespo de la Mata as its new president and María Díaz Aldao as its new vice-president

The Institute of Compliance Officers (IOC) is embarking on a new phase with the appointment of Manuel Crespo de la Mata as its new president and María Díaz Aldao as its new vice-president. This change is a natural evolution for the IOC, following the end of the term of office of Antonio del Campo de los Santos, its founding president and a key figure in the consolidation of the Institute since its creation in 2017.

Antonio del Campo de los Santos

During his eight years at the helm of the IOC, Antonio del Campo has been a benchmark for leadership, vision and commitment. Under his presidency, the IOC has experienced sustained growth in the number of members and certificates, and has positioned itself as a leader in training, certification (CICO) and the creation of spaces for high-level dialogue. His legacy, marked by the defence of ethics, institutional transparency and the professionalisation of compliance, will continue to guide the institution’s course. The IOC pays him sincere tribute and expresses its deep gratitude for his dedication and exemplary contribution.

Manuel Crespo de la Mata and María Díaz Aldao

The new president, Manuel Crespo de la Mata, Chief Compliance Officer of the Telefónica Group, has been vice-president of the IOC since its foundation. His professional career in the legal and compliance fields, together with his in-depth knowledge of the Institute’s mission and values, guarantee a transition in line with the achievements made.

Joining him as vice-president is María Díaz Aldao, Chief Compliance Officer and DPO at Repsol, whose experience in compliance, ethics and criminal law provides key strategic reinforcement for this new phase.
