Telles advises Inter-Risco on stake acquisition
Telles provided legal counsel to Inter-Risco – Sociedade de Capital de Risco, a Portguese private equity firm, in the acquisition of a strategic stake in Grupo Veracruz, a Portuguese-Brazilian group focusing on almond production and regenerative agriculture practices in Portugal.
This transaction was executed through the Inter-Risco Consolidar Fund, financed by the Capitalization and Resilience Fund managed by Banco Português de Fomento, under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
Founded in 1988, Inter-Risco has a track record in the Iberian mid-market investment segment. Since 2007, it has led more than 112 acquisitions. According to Telles, “this strategic partnership underscores the shared commitment of Inter-Risco and Grupo Veracruz to innovation, sustainability, and the creation of economic, social, and environmental value”. The deal also “strengthens Veracruz’s position as a national and European player in the almond sector, with a strong focus on environmental responsibility and the efficient use of cutting-edge technology in support of regenerative agriculture”.
The legal advisors team, led by Guilherme Seabra Galante, counsel in the corporate, transactional, and private equity practice, was supported by associates André Magalhães and Catarina Isidro (all three pictured from left to right).
