Suma Capital adquires 80% of ATH Bioenergy: advisors
Suma Capital has acquired 80% of the company focused on the production and commercialization of biomethane, ATH Bioenergy. The remaining 20% of the capital will remain in the hands of the promoter, the Swiss company Tibanna AG.
This operation is part of ATH Bioenergy’s objective to build four biomethane and fertilizer production plants in the Canary Islands (Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote) with an investment of approximately 100 million euros, and whose construction will begin in stages in the summer of 2024.
KPMG Abogados has advised Suma Capital with a team from Tax: Ignacio Font and Joaquin Roger and for the legal/regulatory: Luis Gómez and Carmen Mulet.
Andersen team has advised ATH Bioenergy with a team formed by Javier Bustillo, partner in the corporate and M&A area, together with Teresa García and Mayo Torres, senior associate and associate, respectively, in the same department.
