SRS Advogados advises Portugal’s Book in Loop on investment agreement with social welfare capital fund

SRS Advogados advised Book in Loop on the negotiation of an investment agreement with the social welfare venture capital fund Fundo Bem Comum.

Book in Loop – which is a spin-off from Coimbra University – provides materials for educating children with the aim of “reducing families’ expenditure on textbooks by up to 80 per cent”.

Book in Loop is led by a group of three entrepreneurs who received initial investment from Portuguese business angels.

The SRS team was led by partner Paulo Bandeira. He said: “Book in Loop is a Portuguese startup that represents the perfect interconnection between the digital economy and a social project – this project has had a tremendous impact on families with children of school age,  and being linked to an innovative project that allows families to save is a source of pride.”
