SLJ strengthens its Commercial area

SJL has strengthened its senior structure with the incorporation of former judge and Commercial Law professor Pedro Yanes as of counsel

Litigation firm SLJ has reinforced its senior talent with the incorporation of Prof. Pedro Yanes. Pedro Yanes joins the firm as Commercial and Restructuring of counsel. Yanes is a Commercial Law professor, and a lawyer registered at the Madrid Bar association.

From 2000 to 2005 he was a judge and from 2007 to 2009 he headed the Cabinet of the State Secretariat for Justice of the Spanish Government, where he actively participated in the drafting and processing of important legislative initiatives. He is the author of numerous publications, mainly in the fields of Corporate Law, Antitrust and Insolvency/Restructuring.

Pedro Yanes (pictured left) is a Law graduate from Universidad de la Laguna holds a PhD in Law cum laude. He was the head of the Commercial area at Madrid-based Medina Cuadros Abogados.
