The firm, specialized in environmental law and led by Mónica Sastre, with Javier de Ahumada as partner and José Manuel Riva as of counsel, welcomes Brufao to bolster their capabilities in Public Employment, Competition, Energy, Administrative, Environmental, and Sports Law, addressing both national and EU matters.
Pedro Brufao Curiel brings over 30 years of experience as an associate professor of administrative law. He holds a Doctorate in Administrative Law from Universidad Carlos III and a Master’s in Environmental Law and Energy Law from Tulane University, obtained as a Fulbright Scholar in 1997-1998. A law graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1994), Pedro has worked extensively in administrative law at Universidad de Extremadura, focusing on public economy, regulatory frameworks, public contracts, environmental legislation, and anti-trust laws. He also served as Scientific Advisor for the Fundación Botín’s Groundwater Project from 2001-2003.
