Santiago Mediano Abogados and Keep in Tax launch Ganesa

In a bold move to transform how cultural projects are financed in Spain, Santiago Mediano Abogados and tax innovation specialist Keep in Tax have joined forces to launch Ganesa Cultural Tax Lease. The new company aims to connect private capital with creative industries through legally robust, fiscally attractive structures.

Ganesa adapts the proven tax lease model, commonly used in technology and infrastructure, to the cultural sector. This approach allows companies and freelancers to support films, stage productions, concerts, and other cultural ventures while benefiting from significant tax advantages—such as income tax or corporate tax deductions—without taking on financial risk or acquiring exploitation rights.

“Ganesa is born out of a commitment to sustainable, secure cultural financing,” explains Javier Berrocal, managing partner at Santiago Mediano. “We’re building bridges between capital and creativity—backed by solid legal and fiscal engineering,” adds Eneko Rufino, CEO of Keep in Tax.

The firm will act as a strategic intermediary between cultural producers and investors, ensuring full compliance with existing legal frameworks. Services will span the entire investment cycle: from the legal-fiscal design of each deal to the management of audits, certifications, and government approvals through the Ministry of Culture.

The financial structure designed by Ganesa allows investors to recover 100% of their capital and earn a minimum additional return of 20%, all while contributing to the sustainability of Spain’s cultural fabric. Meanwhile, producers gain access to critical funding without debt, pre-sales, or rights transfer.

Headquartered in Madrid, Ganesa is backed by a multidisciplinary team with deep expertise in advanced tax planning and hands-on experience across the audiovisual, performing arts, and music sectors. The firm is committed to transparency, tailored structuring, and responsible investment practices.
