Russell Bedford advises European Flyers on merger with Aerotec
Russell Bedford Spain has advised European Flyers on its strategic merger with Aerotec Escuela de Pilotos. The Financial Advisory team at Russell Bedford’s Madrid office supported the operation by conducting a comprehensive Financial, Tax, Labor, and Legal Due Diligence on Aerotec.
The merger, formalized on April 7 in Madrid, marks a significant milestone in European Flyers’ growth and consolidation strategy, resulting in the creation of one of Spain’s largest pilot training centers.
Once approved by the relevant regulatory authorities, the new entity will operate a combined fleet of 50 aircraft, 14 simulators, and employ approximately 200 professionals. With training centers in Cuatro Vientos (Madrid), Mutxamel (Alicante), Casarrubios del Monte (Toledo), and Seville, the organization will boast an extensive operational capacity to provide high-level training for airplane, helicopter, and drone pilots.
“It has been a pleasure to support European Flyers in such a landmark transaction for the aviation sector. This merger represents a turning point in pilot training in Spain. At Russell Bedford, we remain dedicated to delivering expert and thorough advisory at every stage of business growth,” said Javier Concejo, Partner at the Financial Advisory firm division.
Luis Miñano Gómez, General Manager of European Flyers, also emphasized the importance of the merger: “This partnership is part of an ambitious business plan to enhance our company’s national and international competitiveness.”
