Rui Andrade joins Melo Alves as partner

Rui Andrade has joined Melo Alves as a partner in the areas of labour law and dispute resolution.

Andrade has extensive experience in litigation, arbitration and labour matters in African countries such as Angola, Mozambique, Timor-Leste, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe, Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde. Rui Andrade has represented and advised relevant national and international companies (including companies in the oil sector).

Tiago Melo Alves, managing partner at Melo Alves, states that this new integration “underlines the organic growth that the firm is investing in 2024, especially on an international level”.

Rui Andrade moves from VdA as a partner. He was also a partner at Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados (2002-2015) and at Nabais, Pérez, Galamba, Sternberg & Associados (1995-1999). Between 2000 and 2002, he served in the Government as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State for Consumer Protection.
