RocaJunyent welcomes Cloe Barnils as a partner in M&A

RocaJunyent has welcomed Cloe Barnils, formerly of Deloitte Legal, as a new partner in the Commercial and M&A department, focusing on complex cross-border transactions.

Cloe Barnils

Barnils joins RocaJunyent from Deloitte Legal, where she was a partner and led the international Corporate M&A practice. With more than two decades of experience advising European and US multinationals, her appointment strengthens the firm’s capacity to manage large-scale international transactions.

International career and global leadership

Throughout her career, Cloe Barnils has held leadership positions in key markets. In 2016, she took over as head of the Legal Desk in London, driving the development of Deloitte’s legal services in the United Kingdom. Since 2019, she has been Global Leader of Clients & Industries at Deloitte Legal and a member of its Global Executive Committee.

Her international experience was consolidated during her more than six years in New York, where she headed the Spanish legal desk at Donahue & Partners LLP, specialising in global corporate reorganisations and contracting.

Specialisation in complex transactions

Barnils specialises in domestic and international company acquisitions, ranging from strategic planning to due diligence, negotiation and execution. Her experience includes complex acquisitions, shareholder agreements, executive incentive plans and joint ventures, both for corporations and private equity funds.

She also has a track record in corporate reorganisations of groups, aimed at optimising corporate structures and post-acquisition integration. She regularly advises leading Spanish and foreign multinationals on commercial law and serves as secretary to the board of directors in companies in various sectors, directing the legal management of their corporate bodies and ensuring compliance with best corporate governance practices.
