Repsol instructs CMS on €238m UK offshore wind power sale

CMS advised Repsol on the sale of its offshore wind power business in the United Kingdom to SDIC Power of China.

The deal was valued at €238 million, according to Mergermarket data.

SDIC Power was advised by Clifford Chance on the transaction. A Repsol statement said the deal “generates a post-tax capital gain of €109 million.”

The sale includes the Inch Cape project and Repsol’s share (25 per cent) in the Beatrice project, both of which are located on the east coast of Scotland.
