PwC Tax & Legal reinforces environmental law practice

Ismael Aznar is the latest new partner to join PwC Tax & Legal’s environment practice.

The lawyer will lead the environment and climate change area. Previously Aznar was director of the cabinet of the Secretary of State for the Environment between July 2018 and January 2020. He has also been deputy director general of emissions trading and flexibility mechanisms at the Spanish Office for Climate Change between 2007 and 2013.

Aznar has extensive international experience, both in the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and in the context of the International Civil Aviation Organisation. He has also participated in climate and energy meetings of the G20 and in various European forums.
