PwC Tax & Legal advises on the launch of Sareb’s Vienna Project
PwC Tax & Legal has advised Sareb in the configuration and legal and tax preparation of the Viena Project, which will allow the development of 10,600 affordable rental apartments on land owned by the bank. The project will be carried out in various phases and will be divided into several tenders to select investors, who will be granted long-term surface rights on a total of 133 finalist plots of land.
The Viena Project is part of Sareb’s divestment work, which is carried out under the principle of sustainability and social utility. The initiative is part of the Affordable Rental Housing Plan (PVAA) approved by the Government.
As well, Sareb has collaborated with the consultancy firm PwC to identify the towns where there is demand for affordable rentals and to select the land that will make up this initiative.
The team was formed by José Amérigo, partner in charge of the Regulatory Department, together with team manager Rocío Molina. Antonio Sanchez Recio, partner in charge of the Real Estate Tax area, together with senior team manager Sonsoles Carazo. And Gerardo Garcia-Boente, partner in charge of the Real Estate area, who together with team manager Raquel Gavalda carried out the final review of the real estate part of the project.
