Proença de Carvalho advises Zumub in investment round
Proença de Carvalho advised Zumub in an investment round totalling €3.5 million, led by international investors Festina Lente and Rosuha. The newly raised funds are intended to finance Zumub’s growth, the company founded by Urbano da Veiga, with a particular focus on increasing its production capacity, including the construction of a new factory representing an additional investment of €2.5 million, as well as consolidating its presence in international markets.
Zumub, a Portuguese dietary supplements company, is the official partner or sports nutrition supplier of 14 teams in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, including SL Benfica, Sporting CP, and FC Porto. On the international stage, the brand has recently become a partner of Feyenoord Rotterdam and Atlético de Madrid, joining clubs that already used its products, such as Paris Saint-Germain Handball, Bayern Munich Basketball, and AS Monaco.
The Proença de Carvalho team involved in the transaction was led by partner André Matias de Almeida (pictured) and coordinated by senior associate Miguel Almeida Simões, with the participation of associates Mariana Castro Pereira and Bruno Matias.
