PRA has new criminal and regulatory offenses department
PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados has established a new department dedicated to criminal and regulatory offenses, expanding its range of legal services and providing more comprehensive and strategic support to clients.the new department focuses on defining defense and prosecution strategies, with a particular emphasis on economic and financial crimes, including fraud, corruption, breach of trust, embezzlement, and tax crimes. The team will also handle cases related to domestic violence, cybercrime, and crimes against individuals and property.
According to PRA, the new department plays a key role in the implementation and monitoring of compliance programs, enabling companies and individuals to meet legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks, and preventing liabilities. The team will also provide advisory and representation services in regulatory offense proceedings before entities such as ASAE, IMT, GNR, PSP, ANSR, IGAMAOT, and regional authorities in Madeira and the Azores, among others.
The structuring and coordination of this department are led by partner Rute Oliveira Serôdio, serving as national coordinator, with the collaboration of senior associate Fernanda Borges as local coordinator in certain offices (both pictured from left to right).
