PLMJ appoints three new partners
PLMJ has appointed three new partners in the areas of corporate M&A, tax, and international law: Alexander Ehlert, Dinis Tracana, and Rúben Brigolas, respectively.
The new partners at PLMJ
Alexander Ehlert was until now a senior consultant in corporate M&A and has over 15 years of experience working on M&A transactions for various entities, notably venture capital funds in investment and divestment operations. He advises clients—particularly from the industrial and technology sectors—on corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters. He also has experience in corporate finance, corporate governance, joint venture processes, and business reorganizations. In venture capital, he has advised on the establishment, registration, and ongoing management of venture capital funds and their management entities.
Dinis Tracana moves from coordinating associate to partner in the tax area. He has over 15 years of experience in tax consultancy on inbound and outbound international tax structuring, corporate reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions operations. He regularly advises clients in the financial and energy sectors, investment funds, and the real estate industry.
Rúben Brigolas becomes partner in PLMJ’s international area. With nearly 20 years of experience in the Angolan jurisdiction in M&A, joint ventures, project and investment management, financing, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters, Brigolas has advised several international groups on projects and transactions involving multiple jurisdictions, with a special focus on Africa. He provides ongoing advisory services and supports project and investment management in Angola across various sectors, notably oil and gas, mining, finance, and retail.
Bruno Ferreira, managing partner at PLMJ, said: “The appointment of new partners is one of the most special moments for a law firm, and there is a particular pride when the partnership is enriched by lawyers who early on chose this firm as their place to grow both professionally and personally. We warmly welcome Alexander, Dinis and Rúben at this moment—they come to help build the future with their talent, dedication, and personalities, which we always want to keep restless.”
