PLMJ advises Dukes Education on Clip Porto deal
PLMJ has advised Dukes Education on the acquisition of Clip Porto from the Violas group. The transaction saw Dukes Education acquire two entities — Clip – Colégio Luso Internacional do Porto and Clip – Imobiliária — adding an internationally oriented educational institution based in northern Portugal to its portfolio. The school operates primarily under the English national curriculum.
Legal team
The acquisition forms part of Dukes Education’s broader investment strategy in Portugal, through which the group is expanding its presence in the country’s private international education sector.
The transaction was led by Bárbara Godinho Correia (pictured), partner in PLMJ’s Corporate M&A practice, supported by associates Ânia Cruz, Beatriz Veiga Santos and Alice Margarido Fernandes from the same team.
