Pinsent Masons signs Amaia Rivas as partner for its public law area

Pinsent Masons has signed Amaia Rivas Kortazar (pictured), legal director of the FROB (Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring), as the new partner in charge of the public law department.

Rivas Kortazar holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas Icade and joined the State Attorney’s Office in 2011. She has also worked in the Subdirectorate General for Organisation and Legal Assistance of the Tax Agency, in the International Arbitration Department and at the National Court.

“The addition of Rivas will allow the firm to provide more effective support to our multinational client base in a wide range of regulatory matters in Spain, in key sectors such as energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, real estate and banking and finance,” said Fernando Gutiérrez, co-managing partner of Pinsent in Spain.
