Pinsent Masons advises on sale of majority stake in Atlantis Global System
Pinsent Masons has advised Astra One Group on the sale of a majority stake in Atlantis Global System to Trailer Engineering AG (a subsidiary of Schmitz Cargobull).
Leading German semi-trailer company Schmitz Cargobull AG has acquired a majority stake in the leading manufacturer of telematics solutions aimed at meeting the most demanding logistics needs of the Spanish freight transport market, particularly those associated with the control and compliance of the cold chain. Atlantis global system (AGS), is present in most of the top 50 companies transporting goods subject to controlled temperature in Spain.
With this acquisition, Schmitz Cargobull, Europe’s largest manufacturer of semi-trailers, will further increase its leadership in its plans to develop together with AGS the most advanced telematics system on the market, aimed at meeting the highest requirements in refrigerated transport and along the entire cold chain.
The projects team in Madrid led by Borja Martín Ariza has advised together with Javier Aguilera Garvía and Álvaro Márquez Muriel (both associates).
