Pérez-Llorca incorporates Teresa Madeira Afonso as partner in Lisbon
Pérez-Llorca has incorporated Teresa Madeira Afonso, who transits from PLMJ, as a real estate partner in its Lisbon office. With this appointment, the firm strengthens its capabilities in the areas of M&A, private equity and real estate.

Teresa Madeira Afonso
Madeira Afonso has nearly twenty years of professional experience in national and international law firms, where she has specialized in legal advice in the areas of real estate, tourism and corporate law. Before joining Pérez-Llorca, she was co-managing partner of the real estate and tourism area at PLMJ.
Her practice focuses on advising national and international clients, such as private equity funds, institutional investors and family offices, and she has extensive experience advising new entrants in their entry into the Portuguese real estate market.
The new partner specializes in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, with a strong focus on real estate M&A and related services, such as indirect acquisitions and divestments, forward fundings, greenfield and brownfield developments, commercial leases and hotel management agreements. Madeira also has a strong track record in real estate private equity, including joint ventures, strategic alliances and investment platforms. She has also participated in restructuring processes, both solvent and bankruptcy, as well as in financing and loan-to-own transactions related to the real estate and tourism sectors.
Her expertise covers a wide range of asset types, including the hotel, commercial and logistics sectors. She has also been involved in the development of large-scale agricultural projects and has participated in important transactions in the Iberian agri-food sector.
