Pérez-Llorca expands Mexico City office with two new Partners
Pérez-Llorca has strengthened its global Litigation and Arbitration practice with the addition of Antonio González and María Elena Huerta as new partners in its Mexico City office. Their arrival marks a significant step in the firm’s international growth strategy and deepens its presence in the Mexican legal market.
Both partners join from the Mexico City office of a leading international law firm, where they led high-profile litigation and arbitration cases for years. Their expertise will be complemented by a team of lawyers who are also joining the firm, boosting Pérez-Llorca’s capabilities in handling complex disputes.
Antonio González brings over 25 years of experience advising national and international companies on commercial, civil, and corporate disputes. He has represented clients before various levels of Mexican courts and in cross-border litigation and international arbitration proceedings under ICC, AAA, and ICDR rules. His strategic insight and leadership in major cases have made him a trusted advisor in sectors such as energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, and finance.
María Elena Huerta specializes in resolving disputes related to contract enforcement and interpretation, shareholder conflicts, and corporate claims. With a strong background in both domestic and international arbitration, she has been recognized by legal directories for her growing influence in Mexico’s litigation landscape.
“The addition of Antonio and María Elena significantly enhances our international litigation and arbitration capabilities. Their experience in both the Mexican market and global disputes aligns perfectly with the firm’s internationalization strategy,” said Iván Delgado, Pérez-Llorca’s International Executive Partner.
Jorge Mondragón, Country Chair of Pérez-Llorca in Mexico, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Antonio, María Elena, and their team. Their arrival reinforces Pérez-Llorca’s commitment to the Mexican market and our mission to provide top-tier legal counsel to local and international clients from Mexico City.”
This expansion is part of Pérez-Llorca’s broader strategic plan, which includes growing its international offices and strengthening core practice areas by attracting talent with global credentials.
