Pérez-Llorca appoints Raúl Rubio as new partner
Pérez-Llorca has announced the incorporation of Raúl Rubio as a new partner in the industrial, intellectual and technology property team. With 27 years of experience in different law firms and national and foreign companies, until now he was the head of the digital law area of Deloitte Legal in Spain.
Rubio is specialised in providing legal advice in the fields of technology, digital transformation and services, audiovisual, advertising, intellectual property, media, privacy and image rights, information security and electronic communications, among others.
Raúl Rubio is band 1 in chambers in the practice of ‘TMT: Information Technology’, leading individual in legal 500 in the areas of ‘industry focus: ‘TMT’ and ‘data privacy and data protection’, and since 2013 he has been recognised by best lawyers in ‘broadcasting law’, ‘information technology law’ and ‘media law’.
He combines his work as a lawyer with teaching. Among the institutions and and universities with which Rubio collaborates include the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), where he is a lecturer in the intellectual, industrial and new technologies module of the master’s degree in access to the legal profession. He also works in the IE Law School, where he is the director of the cyber-compliance and data protection programme.
