Pérez-Llorca appoints five new partners

Pérez-Llorca´s Madrid office has signed Juan Oñate and promoted Isabel Moya, Javier García Marrero, Alberto Ibort y Rafael Díaz as new partners of the firm

With these appointments the firm currently has a total of 53 partners.

Oñate (pictured second from the left) joins the firm from Linklaters and will reinforce the corporate department. He has over 16 years of experience and has participated in the main debt restructuring processes in the market, in close collaboration with the different actors involved, and has directed the homologation processes associated with these restructurings. He has advised clients of various kinds, such as listed companies, large national groups, foreign investors, funds and banks.

Moya (pictured third from the left) joined the firm in 2009 and specializes in Labour and Social Security Law. She advises in all areas of labour relations, highlighting her extensive experience in handling all kinds of restructuring procedures, leading negotiations with trade unions, carrying out labour audits and designing employee remuneration plans. Likewise, Isabel advises on all labour issues that arise in the context of the Firm’s Corporate area operations and is an expert in the processing of internal investigations within the company.

García Marrero (pictured first from the right) judge on leave of absence, joined the firm in 2014 as Counsel for the Litigation and Arbitration Department. He has extensive experience in handling complex bankruptcy proceedings, with special emphasis on bankruptcy qualification, defense against reintegration actions and the purchase of productive units and significant assets in the bankruptcy.

Ibort (pictured second from the left) joined the firm in 2011 and is an expert in town planning and environment, with proven experience in land projects and residential, commercial, hotel, logistics and industrial assets, including the drafting of town planning instruments and the legal direction of legal proceedings.

Díaz arrived at Pérez-Llorca in 2014 focusing his practice on corporate operations of public and private entities subject to special administrative regulation. He is also an expert in M&A transactions of companies holding regulated assets, especially in the energy, financial and insurance sectors.
