Pérez-Llorca and Herbert Smith Freehills instructed on Trilantic deal

Trilantic Europe was advised by Pérez-Llorca and Ramón Hermosilla Abogados on the acquisition of four bioethanol plants in Spain and France from Abengoa.

 

Abengoa was advised by Herbert Smith Freehills, while Trilantic was also advised by French law firm Racine.

The deal involved the acquisition of the following companies: Biocarburantes de Castilla y León; Bioetanol Galicia; Ecocarburantes Españoles and Ecoagrícola; and Abengoa Bioenergy France.

The transaction was valued at €140 million, according to Mergermarket.

Trilantic Europe is a private equity firm focused on investments in mid-market companies in Western Europe. It currently manages two institutional private equity funds with aggregate capital commitments of €1.5 billion.
