Pérez-Llorca and Gómez-Pinzón complete integration
Pérez-Llorca and Gómez-Pinzón have officially completed their integration, following approval by the partners and governing bodies of both firms. The deal marks a milestone in the legal sector, as the first full merger between a leading Ibero-American law firm and a top-tier Colombian firm.
Through this integration, Pérez-Llorca enters the Colombian market with force, becoming one of the country’s leading law firms by headcount, with a team of over 120 lawyers in Colombia and nearly 1,000 professionals worldwide. The firm’s pro forma global revenues for the last twelve months are expected to reach approximately USD 230 million.
The transaction reflects the firm’s broader international expansion strategy, consolidating its presence in Latin America and reinforcing its regional model across Iberia and Latin America. The combined firm now operates from 11 offices across Spain, Colombia, Portugal, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the United States, Belgium, and Singapore.
“This is a strategic step forward, rooted in a shared vision: together, we are stronger,” said Pedro Pérez-Llorca, Managing Partner of Pérez-Llorca. “Our goal is clear: to build a leading legal platform in Latin America, offering complex legal advice with integrated management and a unified client experience.”
The integration is both legal and economic, with Gómez-Pinzón’s partners joining Pérez-Llorca’s partnership and governance structure. All professionals from Gómez-Pinzón will continue their careers under the same professional terms as those in the firm’s other offices.
From a service perspective, the new firm aims to lead in high-stakes transactions, financing, and cross-border disputes, with a full-service offering tailored to both international clients investing in Colombia and local clients expanding globally.
“This integration represents a unique opportunity for our clients and our team,” noted Mauricio Piñeros, Partner at Pérez-Llorca Colombia. “It allows us to deliver stronger, globally connected legal services and gives our professionals an international platform for growth.”
“In just a decade, we have gone from a national firm to operating across three continents,” said Iván Delgado, International Executive Partner at Pérez-Llorca. “This is the result of the firm-wide commitment to internationalization as a lever for becoming the go-to legal partner in the most complex matters.”
