Pérez-Llorca advises Odevo on Portik Group acquisition

The Swedish group Odevo has acquired 100% of Portik Group, the leading property management company in Spain and parent of inmho, marking Odevo’s official entry into the Spanish market.

The transaction significantly expands Odevo’s international footprint, bringing its total portfolio to 2.2 million managed homes and a combined workforce of 11,200 professionals across Europe and the U.S.

Oxy Capital (Portik’s main investor) and Jorge García Alía (CEO of Portik Group) will reinvest a significant portion of the proceeds in Odevo shares, becoming shareholders of the parent company.

The deal is subject to regulatory approvals from Spain’s Directorate-General for Insurance (due to Portik’s brokerage business) and Portugal’s competition authority, given Portik’s strong market presence in the region.

Once finalized, Portik will continue to operate independently across its four geographies (Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and Italy), with Jorge García remaining as CEO, reporting directly to Daniel Larsson, CEO of Odevo.

Pérez-Llorca acted as legal advisor to Odevo, providing multijurisdictional support in Spanish, Portuguese, and Mexican law, with the involvement of its offices in Portugal and Mexico. The firm deployed a multidisciplinary team covering corporate, banking and finance, employment, insurance, and competition law.

Key team members playing a leading role included Pablo González Mosqueira (Corporate Partner) and corporate lawyers Ángel Martín and Rita Royo (all pictured). The Spanish legal team also included Darío González-Campos, Pablo Matesanz, Manuel Fernández de Piérola (all Corporate); Isabel Villa (Banking & Finance Partner), Beatrice Lapi (Banking & Finance), Isabel Moya (Employment Partner), Paola Vegazo, Mariana Ambrossi (Employment), Joaquín Ruiz Echauri (Insurance Partner), Luis María González, Gabriel Llul (Insurance), Jaime de Blas (Competition Partner) as well as Ane Corrales (Competition).
