Pérez-Llorca and Dentons on ATL Capital-Abante deal
Pérez-Llorca has advised ATL Capital on its integration with Abante, advised by Dentons. The deal brings together two firms that share a common origin in AB Asesores and forms part of Abante’s ongoing expansion strategy, launched in 2019 following its alliance with Mapfre, with the goal of building an independent entity focused on financial advisory and asset management.
The deal
The integration, which will be carried out progressively over the next two years, enhances the group’s growth capacity. As of the end of June, assets under management by both firms exceed €11 billion. Including advised assets, the total reaches over €16 billion. The group, with more than 17,000 clients, employs more than 400 professionals, 200 of whom are directly involved in investor advisory services.
Geographically, the transaction enables Abante to expand its presence with a new office in La Coruña and to strengthen its operations in Madrid, Valencia, and Zaragoza. Following the integration, the firm will have offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Pamplona, Logroño, Málaga, Seville, Valencia, Zaragoza, La Coruña, and Valladolid—consolidating a nationwide presence with strong local roots. The transaction is subject to approval by the CNMV (Spanish securities regulator).
