Pérez-Llorca adds Joana Mota Agostinho as partner
Pérez-Llorca has announced the arrival of Joana Mota Agostinho as a partner in its Lisbon office, strengthening the firm’s technology and intellectual property offering in Portugal.
Mota Agostinho will head the newly created Intellectual Property, Industrial Property and Technology practice in Lisbon, an area set up to advise domestic and international clients on technological and digital transformation processes. Her practice covers intellectual and industrial property, data protection and privacy, digital law, advertising and consumer matters, as well as regulatory issues linked to electronic communications, media and cybersecurity. Throughout her career she has advised on digital transformation projects in sectors including technology, banking, insurance, energy, healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
The hire is part of Pérez-Llorca’s growth plan in Portugal and responds to the increasing regulatory challenges tied to innovation, data and the digitalisation of business, the firm said.
Background and recognition
Mota Agostinho holds a law degree from the University of Lisbon’s Faculty of Law and completed an LL.M. in Communications and Information Technology Law at Queen Mary University of London.
