Pérez-Llorca adds Felipe Suescún de Roa as partner in Colombia
Pérez-Llorca has added Felipe Suescún de Roa as a new partner in Colombia, where he joins the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice, one of the law firm’s key areas in the country. The new partner transits from Suescún Abogados.
Felipe Suescún de Roa has more than 20 years of professional experience, with expertise in domestic and international arbitration, dispute resolution, and business law. Over the course of his career, he has participated in arbitrations under various jurisdictions, venues, and applicable laws, including Argentina, Colombia, France, Mexico, New York, Switzerland, and the Unidroit Principles.
Suescún de Roa holds a law degree and a specialisation in Commercial Law from Universidad de los Andes, as well as an LL.M. from Georgetown University. Academically, he has taught Obligations, Civil Liability, and Business Law at Universidad de los Andes, and courses on Arbitration and Corporate Law at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and the Superintendence of Companies. He hs been admitted as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) in London.
