Paxlegal expands into start-ups & tech practice

Paxlegal has announced the addition of Francisco Arga e Lima as consultant, tasked with developing and leading the new practice area start-ups & tech. This move represents another step in the firm’s strategy to support the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Portugal and beyond.

Bárbara Pestana, founding partner of Paxlegal, explains the reasons behind the firm’s focus on this area of law: “We want to be the legal partner for start-ups and technology companies in Portugal. Before joining Paxlegal, Francisco Arga e Lima interned at the Court of Justice of the European Union and collaborated with the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. In his consultancy work, he has been advising European start-ups and technology companies, with a particular focus on Switzerland, Germany, and Portugal.
