Patricia Muñoz, new managing partner of Afi’s Financial Regulation and Supervisory Liaison department

Afi incorporates Patricia Muñoz as managing partner of the Financial Regulation and Supervisory Liaison department. With this new addition, Afi brings together all the regulatory services it had been providing in a fragmented manner through its consulting teams to banks, insurance companies, and Investment Services Companies (ESI).

Patricia Muñoz

Patricia Muñoz is a State Attorney on leave of absence (class of 2004). In her more than twenty-year career, she has been an assistant state attorney at the Ministry of the Interior and in the economic-financial area of the National Court, among other positions.

Since 2021, she has served as general director of the Legal Service and secretary of the Board of the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). At that institution, she previously held the positions of Deputy Director General of the same service (2017-2021) and Director of the CNMV’s Litigation and Sanctions Department (2013-2017), as well as Deputy Secretary of the Board (2013-2021).

New services

In addition to the regulatory services that Afi has been providing to financial institutions for more than two decades, it now also offers services related to access to capital markets by non-financial institutions, the development of which is currently being promoted through various European and national initiatives within the framework of the single market.
