Ospina Abogados opens office in Marbella

Ospina Abogados has taken a new step in its expansion strategy with the opening of a criminal law office in Marbella, thus consolidating its commitment to the Costa del Sol.

In an exclusive statement to Iberian Lawyer, Juan Gonzalo Ospina said that this opening marks “a turning point in the growth of Ospina Abogados”. The solicitor explains that “we had been travelling between Madrid and Marbella for several months due to the volume of clients, which meant we had to travel constantly to be able to serve them”. With this new office, he adds, they seek to ‘offer a higher quality service, be closer to our clients and, at the same time, open ourselves up to new business opportunities that may arise on the Costa del Sol, with both national and international clients”.

Complex proceedings

The firm highlights that the area has a high volume of complex proceedings, such as economic crimes, money laundering, large-scale cases linked to financial or organised crime and drug trafficking, which has generated a growing demand for specialised advice. With this opening, the firm seeks to offer a direct response and reinforce its experience in highly complex litigation.

“We want to be a bridge between Madrid and Marbella. Especially in all proceedings before the National High Court against organised crime, money laundering and even public health.”, adds Juan Gonzalo Ospina.

Operational centre

The new office, located in the Guadalmina residential area (Guadalmina IV Shopping Centre, Local 64), has been created with the mission of becoming the “operational centre” of Ospina Abogados in Andalusia.

With this addition, partners Juan Gonzalo Ospina, Beatriz Uriarte Arreba and Juan Antonio García Jabaloy will have a team of 12 professionals between the firm’s two offices.
