Ontier welcomes Patricio J. Gutiérrez as of counsel in the United States
Ontier expands in the United States with the addition of Patricio J. Gutiérrez as of counsel in Dallas, Texas. This appointment strengthens the firm’s Corporate M&A practice and broadens its territorial coverage in the country, moving from a presence centred in Miami to a nationwide structure under the Ontier USA brand.
For his part, Javier Muñoz, Ontier’s international director, emphasises that: “Patricio’s track record advising global clients in the United States makes him a valuable addition to our team. His reputation, experience and entrepreneurial spirit reflect Ontier’s commitment to comprehensive, borderless advice. Furthermore, his addition allows us to respond to the growing interest of many foreign companies that choose Texas to start their journey in the US market.”
Patricio J. Gutiérrez
Gutiérrez has extensive experience advising international companies, family offices and institutional investors on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate structuring and the entry of foreign companies into the US market. Founder and director of the Dallas-based Gutierrez Law Group, he has led cross-border transactions for European and Latin American clients, designing investment structures and expansion strategies with a practical and results-oriented approach. Before founding his own firm, he spent part of his career at FBFK Law Firm, a leading US corporate and transactional law firm, where he consolidated his experience in advising companies with an international presence.
With a Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin, Patricio also completed a Comparative Law Programme at the University of Oxford. He worked in the Executive Office of the President at the White House and in the Texas Attorney General’s Office, experiences that provide him with practical insight and a deep understanding of public policy as it applies to corporate law in the United States.
His bilingual and bicultural profile allows him to act as a bridge between Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and the United States, facilitating strategic alliances and complex operations in an increasingly globalised legal environment.
