Ontier reinforces its corporate team with the addition of Patricia Jaquotot as counsel

Ontier reinforces its corporate department with the incorporation of Patricia Jaquotot as counsel, Jorge Martín as senior lawyer and Pablo Martínez Campos as associate. This move underlines the firm’s commitment to consolidate its team with top level professionals, and follows the strategic line of expansion, consolidation and strengthening of its presence both nationally and internationally.

Patricia Jaquotot

Patricia holds a degree in Law and Business Administration (E-3) from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and has spent most of her professional career at Herbert Smith Freehills. His practice focuses on advising private equity firms in the different phases of the investment cycle, from the formalization of the investment to asset management and divestment. He has extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of sale and purchase and investment agreements, partner agreements, incentive plans, W&I insurance policies, among others.

Prior to joining Ontier, Patricia worked for several years in a fund management company, which has allowed her to obtain a broad knowledge of the regulatory framework of private equity firms and their management companies, and in particular, the legal structuring of funds and the negotiation with investors, thus acquiring a very complete and unusual vision of the life cycle of the private equity industry.

In the same vein, Patricia Jaquotot, emphasizes that “my goal is to leverage the Ontier brand to position ourselves as a reference advisor in the private equity industry, especially in private equity and venture capital, where we expect a lot of movement thanks to the high level of resources available to invest and the public sector’s commitment to private equity.”

Jorge Martín

Jorge Martín Gómez holds a degree in Law from the University of Valladolid and a Master’s Degree in Legal Counseling from the Instituto de Empresa, where he also obtained a Certificate in Business Administration. His practice focuses on advising clients on M&A transactions, corporate law and venture capital, having worked with both national and international companies and groups. He has extensive experience in the negotiation, drafting and execution of share purchase and sale agreements, assets and shareholders agreements, as well as in mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and investment rounds. He has also participated in refinancing and financing transactions of audiovisual works.

Jorge Martin, for his part, comments that “his main objective is to take advantage of the existing synergies between Ontier’s different offices around the world to grow, on the one hand, the M&A area in the mid-market and venture capital sector and, on the other hand, to take advantage of the firm’s strong sectorial expertise to advise our clients in financing audiovisual works, where there is a great appetite, especially from financiers in the Anglo-Saxon world”.

Pablo Martínez Campos

Pablo Martínez Campos has experience mainly in private equity transactions, as well as in M&A transactions in sectors such as technology, retail and professional services, among others. He holds a double Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession and Business Law from ICADE, the Executive Program in Finance, M&A and Private Equity from IEB and a Law Degree from UCO. Previously, since 2018 she has worked in national and international firms such as Rousaud Costad Durán (RCD) and Act Legal Spain and, since then she has developed her career with a commercial focus on operations and transactions of venture capital, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
