The financing amounts to a total of 35 million euros, which will be used for the development, operation and maintenance of three photovoltaic solar energy projects in Spain with a total installed capacity of 67 megawatts (MW).
The plants, located on the Levantine coast, have three wind farms: one of them, located in Fuente Álamo (Murcia), came into operation in 2023, with a capacity of 17 MW; the second, located in Xixona (Alicante), has been in operation since 2021, while the third, located in the same town, is in its final stage of construction and, with the previous one, has a combined capacity of 50 MW. It is present in Europe, the United States, Latin America, Japan and Australia.
The company has 18 years of experience with more than 2.8 GW built. It is one of the world leaders in renewable and sustainable energy.
Nicholas Pentreath, X-Elio’s CFO, said the group will continue to “take advantage of market opportunities to address climate needs in collaboration with world-class partners such as Bankinter.”
Ontier’s banking & finance team has advised X-Elio with a team led by partner Álvaro Barro, and lawyers Luis Carretero and María Gardeta.
