Ontier advises the Martínez family on company sale
Ontier has advised the Martínez family, sellers of Juan Martínez SL on the transfer of 100% of its share capital to the Austrian multinational Rupp AG, a company specialized in cheese solutions for the B2B, food service, and retail channels. Juan Martínez SL is an Asturian, fourth-generation family-owned, with over 110 years of experience in dairy product manufacturing.
As confirmed by Rupp AG, Juan Martínez SL will not change its operational structure, management team, and brand, becoming Rupp AG’s platform for business development in the Iberian Peninsula.
The deal for the sellers was led by senior associate Ignacio Arce Orejas (pictured), alongside senior associate Pelayo García-Bernardo Albornoz and associate Laura Zaldívar Lobato, from the corporate and M&A team of Ontier’s Northern Spain office, based in Oviedo. The transaction also involved lawyers from the tax law team (Carlos Cañas Miralles and Javier Fernández Valdés) and the labour law team (Sara Blanco Menéndez and Cristina Prado Benéitez).
