New managing partner for Cuatrecasas in Portugal

Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira has appointed Frederico Pereira Coutinho as its Portugal managing partner.

 

The appointment of Pereira Coutinho – who replaces co-managing partners Maria João Ricou and Diogo Perestrelo – takes effect from today, 1 July.

Ricou and Perestrelo will remain as partners of the firm.

Pereira Coutinho will assume the role of managing partner for a period of three years. A firm statement said Pereira Coutinho had been appointed with the aim of providing continuity for the “growth and internationalisation strategy during the new upcoming economic cycle”.

Pereira Coutinho, who specialises in corporate law, has been with the firm for 25 years.

In Portugal, the firm has 29 partners, 82 associates, four counsel, 17 interns and 78 other staff members in non-legal roles, divided between offices in Lisbon and Porto.
