Eversheds Sutherland incorporates Eduardo Sierra as new partner and head of the urban planning practice

New additions. Eversheds Sutherland has incorporated Eduardo Sierra Rodríguez as a new partner in the Spanish office to lead the urban planning practice.

Eduardo Sierra Rodríguez

Law Degree from the University of Cantabria and Master for the Practice of Spanish Law by the Bar Association of Cantabria in the specialization of Administrative Law, Sierra has been a professor of Urban Law of the Master of the Spanish Bar Association in the School of Legal Practice of the Cantabria Bar Association between 2008 and 2017, as well as speaker of multiple training courses of Urban Law of the General Council of the Spanish Bar Association. In 2014, he received the Medal of Merit for the Service of the Spanish Legal Profession.

A legal advisor to a number of public and private land management and development companies and local authorities, throughout his more than 30 years of professional experience, Sierra has accumulated extensive experience in advising and managing urban development areas of residential, tertiary, commercial and industrial development throughout Spain.

In addition, his extensive experience in the public sphere, includes his practice as external legal counsel in the Parliament of Cantabria until 1997, while, throughout his professional career, he has been part of numerous Advisory Committees for the drafting of regional regulations on urban and regional planning, as well as the Technical Committee and the Regional Commission for Spatial Planning and Urban Planning of the Government of Cantabria (2006-2016).
