Muñoz and Cáceres launch Casado & Casalta
Lawyers Víctor Muñoz and Miguel Cáceres have announced the launch of their new criminal law boutique, Casado & Casalta Abogados Penalistas, with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, and Terrassa. The firm will focus on criminal and white-collar crime matters, positioning itself as a space of “academic excellence and strategic rigor,” according to its founders.
Both Muñoz and Cáceres hold PhDs in Criminal Law and are professors at leading Spanish universities. Their combined professional experience includes involvement in high-profile cases of public relevance such as Mercasa-Angola, Canal Isabel II, Odebrecht-BPA, Mercurio, Gürtel, Hidrocarburos, and Simón, among others. In addition, they are regular contributors to specialized legal media and have published numerous doctrinal articles on criminal law.
The firm’s philosophy is defined by what the founders describe as the “craftsmanship of Criminal Law.” “Our academic background and professional experience have led us to understand law as a craft requiring rigor, deep knowledge, and strategic perspective,” said Miguel Cáceres Casado. “This is the commitment we make to each client: meticulous, team-based work to guarantee the best possible defense.”
Víctor Muñoz Casalta added: “We firmly believe that the complexity of today’s criminal law demands an approach that goes further. Like craftsmen, we shape each legal strategy with precision and dedication, ensuring that every client receives a robust, creative, and above all, effective defense.”
