Miguel Barbosa joins Banco Português de Fomento as general counsel

Miguel Barbosa has started a new role as group general counsel at Banco Português de Fomento, Iberian Lawyer has learned. He joins from Garantia Mútua, where he served as legal director across Portugal’s four mutual guarantee societies: Agrogarante, Garval, Lisgarante and Norgarante.

Commenting on the move, Barbosa said: “To the many people I had the privilege to work with at Garantia Mútua, it has been — and will continue to be — a pleasure and an honour. With a strong sense of mission and responsibility, I begin this new chapter motivated to work with the new teams and to address the challenges ahead.”
