ME&R adds Corporate partner from ONTIER

Martínez-Echevarría & Rivera Abogados has hired Oscar Murillo Sanz from ONTIER as partner of the Commercial, Corporate and M&A practice in Madrid

Murillo (pictured) specialises in domestic and cross-border transactions and projects and also in Corporate matters with an international component. Óscar has advised a number of leading companies on a wide range of matters, including international projects, acquisitions and disposals, corporate reorganisations and commercial contracts. He is also specialised in Renewable Energy sector, advising in different technologies from initial development to ready to built and completion of the project, and also in the financing angle.

Óscar graduated in Law and got a diploma in Business Administration at San Pablo CEU University. After starting his professional carrier at Bufete Barrilero y Asociados, he joined ONTIER in 2007, where, in 2016, he was appointed partner of the Corporate and M&A department in the Madrid office.

His vast professional experience for more than 15 years is mainly focused on this area in which can be highlighted his participation in national and cross-border M&A operations, contracting and international projects for important Spanish companies, and advising in the Renewable Energies sector in multiple projects of different technologies both in the development and construction part as well as in the financing.

He has been recognised by international legal directories for the last two years and by another one in 2021 (edition EMEA) in Commercial, Corporate and M&A and Projects and Energy areas.

He also combines his professional practice with teaching and mentoring at various academic institutions such as the Universidad San Pablo CEU and Universidad Villanueva.
