MasOrange–Endesa agreement on energy and telecoms: Advisors

MasOrange, Spain’s leading operator in terms of customer numbers, and Endesa, one of the main electricity companies in the Iberian market, have signed an agreement for the joint marketing of energy and telecommunications services in the Spanish market.

According to both companies, the agreement will enable the development of combined offers that could benefit more than one million customers, with personalised proposals and high added-value services in both areas.

Under the agreement, Endesa will offer its energy commercial proposal to MasOrange customers, taking advantage of the commercial network and technological expertise of the telecommunications operator, which has more than 30 million users and a network of 1,500 exclusive stores, in addition to its digital channels.

For its part, Endesa will incorporate MasOrange as a partner for the marketing of telecommunications services among its more than 7 million free market customers. MasOrange will contribute its technological infrastructure, based on efficient and sustainable networks, such as 5G technology, and a digitised customer base.

Both companies emphasise that the alliance will enable them to offer integrated energy and connectivity solutions geared towards new consumer demands, focusing on efficiency, simplicity and savings.

As part of the agreement, Endesa Energía, a wholly owned subsidiary of Endesa, will acquire the entire share capital of Energía Colectiva, the digital energy supplier of the MasOrange group, owned by Xfera Móviles.

Energía Colectiva, which has more than 350,000 electricity and gas customers, has advanced digital capabilities for energy supply management. The price of the transaction amounts to approximately €90 million, subject to the usual adjustments in this type of transaction.
