Martínez-Echevarría incorporates Lucas Blanque Rey as a partner
Lucas Blanque Rey, an active lawyer of the Council of State, joins Martínez-Echevarría Abogados as a partner in the Madrid office.
Lucas Blanque Rey
Blanque has been director of the Legal Services of the General Council of the Spanish Bar from 2010 to 2021. The lawyer has a great knowledge of the law applicable to professional associations and public law corporations in general. He is also specialized in the functioning of the Administration of Justice, the regulation of intellectual property, contracts and administrative concessions or the patrimonial responsibility of Public Administrations, among others.
Coming from GC Legal, where he was a partner, he is a member of the Cuerpo de Letrados del Consejo de Estado since 2002, academic of the Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación and member of the Foro de la regulación administrativa. From 2008 to 2010 he was director of the Legal Services of the Instituto de Censores Jurados de Cuentas de España.
He has extensive experience in regulatory law, in regulated sectors and in specific areas such as intellectual property, regulated professions and the functioning of Public Administrations. In addition, he is specialized in the transposition of European Union Law into Spanish Law. He has also prepared reports on the modification of the legal regime of intellectual property for its adaptation to European Law and on the legal deposit of online publications.
