Mariscal and Eversheds advise on 99 Sushi Bar deal

Mariscal Abogados has advised Ferengi on the acquisition of a majority stake in Grupo Empresarial Bambú Restauración, owner of 99 Sushi Bar and KO by 99 Sushi Bar. Eversheds Sutherland acted as legal counsel to the sellers throughout the transaction. The acquisition is part of a strategic alliance to accelerate the group’s international expansion.

Ferengi is an international investment fund, while Grupo Empresarial Bambú Restauración is a hospitality group recognised for its portfolio of premium restaurant brands operating across Spain and abroad. The Group will be lead from now onwards by CEO Jaime Castañeda. Over the coming months, Grupo Empresarial Bambú Restauración will undertake a new growth strategy with the opening of new establishments in London, Budapest, Doha and Miami, reinforcing its presence in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
