Lola Conde, corporate legal counsel of Santander ,dies

Lola Conde, head of Santander’s corporate legal department, has passed away due to illness.

Lola has spent her entire career at Banco Santander, where she started in 1999 as a lawyer. In 2016 she was appointed head of Santander’s legal department, specializing in areas as diverse as New Technologies, Innovation, IT&Ops, Retail Banking, HR, Procurement and Costs, Communication, Corporate Governance, Crisis Management, Until 2022, when she held what was her current position, director of corporate legal counsel.

She was also legal vice president for the areas of communications and marketing, corporate real estate and general services, security and intelligence, and human resources. She is also co-president of the corporate lawyers section of the Madrid Bar Association.

Conde was director of the Master’s Degree in Financial Markets and Investment Banking at Centro de Estudios Garrigues.
