Linklaters appoints partner Paloma Fierro new global co-head of Diversity

Linklaters has appointed Spain office partner Paloma Fierro as its new global co-head of Diversity and new member of Linklaters’ People Committee at global level

According to the firm, “Paloma is a great advocate of the importance of diversity in the sector, in general, and in Linklaters, in particular, and will continue working to make the firm inclusive and diverse for all.”

On this news, Paloma Fierro (pictured) stated: “It is our responsibility to make sure that every professional in Linklaters is treated as each one of us would like to be treated and to ‘pass the flame’ to future generations.”

Paloma Fierro arrived at Linklaters in 2000, where she was an associate until 2007, when she was appointed as managing associate, a position that she held until 2013. In this year she made partner of the firm´s Madrid office.

She has broad experience in Financial Markets Regulations, from Banking and Investment firm group reorganisations to Regulatory M&A and setting up credit institutions, branches and representative offices. Her work includes the incorporation of hedge fund managers and creation and registration of traditional investment funds and hedge funds. She is also an expert in derivatives, including structuring and negotiating equity derivatives and structured products, as well as designing transactions with Insolvency protection components.
