Linklaters appoints new counsel for its labour area

Linklaters has appointed Belén Lavandera (pictured) as counsel in its labour and employment department. Lavandera has fifteen years of experience as a labour lawyer and her professional career has been mostly linked to Linklaters since she joined the Madrid office in 2010 and, until now, she was senior managing associate of the same practice.

In addition to his professional career, Lavandera has been a lecturer for more than seven years at the San Pablo CEU University and its Business School, where he taught “labour law and social security” and the “master in international law”, respectively. She has also been a speaker at various conferences and regularly collaborates by publishing articles in different journals.

She also has years of experience in providing strategic and labour law advice in national and multi-jurisdictional transactions, incentive schemes, hiring and termination of directors and executives, remuneration and compensation committees, corporate restructuring processes and in providing legal assistance in litigation before the labour courts.
