Linklaters advises on Adam Ecotech acquisition

Linklaters has advised CVC DIF on its acquisition of a portfolio of data centers in Madrid and Barcelona, through leading data center operator Adam Ecotech. This is CVC DIF’s first investment in the sector in Europe, positioning itself as a key player in the digital infrastructure sector in Spain.

The investment in Adam Ecotech will be made through CIF III, CVC DIF’s latest value-added infrastructure fund. In this regard, the company will support Adam Ecotech in its expansion not only to other regions in Spain, but to the European data center market in general.

Adam Ecotech has three operational data centers in Barcelona and Madrid, with a total area of approximately 6,900 m2 and a capacity of 7 MW. It is also developing a new data center and expanding its existing infrastructure to reach up to 12 MW of capacity in the coming years.

The team has been led by Lara Hemzaoui Rodrigo, M&A partner, with the support of Esteban de Santos Smith (senior associate, M&A), Rocío Beotas González-Sicilia (senior associate, public law), Gabriela De Remedios (junior associate, M&A) and Paula Leoz (junior associate, public law).
